Criteria for Leave

  • A child who is indisposed(sick) must not be sent to school even if it is only to write a test/exam.The child needs rest. A child who does not follow these guidelines will have to attend the entire school day.For a genuine case the child will not be penalized.
  • A student who has been absent on the previous day will not be allowed to sit in the class without a valid leave letter in the school diary(Regularity Record).
  • No leave is granted except on prior application from parents/guardians for cogent reasons only.The parents/guardians are required to fill in the column under "Regularity Record".
  • A fine of Rs.10/- per day will be charged for each day of unsanctioned leave.The Principal being the final authority.
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the school rolls;readmission may be granted only on availability of seats and also on payment of fresh admission fee.
  • All children are expected to attend the School on the opening day after the summer vacation, Puja holidays and winter vacation. Anyone who remains absent must report to the Principal with a leave note before being allowed into the class.
  • If your child suffers from any health problem of major concern such as heart problem, Asthma, Diabetes etc.It must be brought to the notice of the school in writing along with the doctor's certificate.
  • A child suffering from an infectious disease should not be sent to the school.This is in interest of the other children.
  • A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious disease should produce doctor's certificate permitting him/her to do so.Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.

    a) Chicken Pox - Till complete failing of the scabies

    b) Cholera - Till the child is completely recovered

    c) Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears

    d) Mumps - Until the swelling disappears (about one month)

    e) Whooping cough - Six weeks

    If a child falls short of attendance for no cogent reasons he/she will not be allowed to appear in the periodical test/terminal examination; which ever is applicable.The minimum attendance requirements is 90% of the total number of working days in each term and an average of 90% for the final examination.
